5 DIY Natural Facial Cleansers

Here are 5 DIY facial cleaners to keep your skin clean and healthy.

Yogurt Cleanser

Yogurt contains lactic acid that acts as an exfoliator. Protein in yogurt helps to clean the skin from deep within the layers. Simply apply some fresh plain yogurt on your face and neck with your fingertips. Massage it really well so that it penetrates the pores properly. Wash off after 2-3 minutes. If you have oily skin, add a few drops of lemon in the yogurt before cleaning your face with it.

Oatmeal Cleanser

Oatmeal helps to remove dead cells and make your skin clean . Oatmeal is one of the best natural facial cleansers you can use to add a glow to your skin. Take ½ tsp of oatmeal and make a paste by adding plain or rose water as needed. Add a few drops of olive or coconut oil into it. If you have oily skin, you can add tea tree oil instead. Now, add ½ tsp of yogurt. Mix it all well and apply it on your face. Gently massage this potent facial cleanser on your face in circular motions. Wash off after 10 minutes.

Tomato- Honey Cleanser

Grate a tomato and mix ½ tsp honey to it then clean your face with it. Honey is one of the best gentle facial cleansers, which is beneficial for all skin types. Honey contains powerful antioxidants and antibacterial properties to protect and moisturize the skin. Tomato has alkaline properties to gently remove impurities from the pores. Tomato can also keep blackheads away if you use it regularly.

Activated Charcoal Cleanser

Activated charcoal is known to keep your skin radiant and healthy by effectively removing grime from the skin pores. It is easily available in cosmetic stores or pharmacies. To clean your face with it, simply mix a little-activated charcoal powder with water and apply it on the face in circular motions. Leave it on your face for a few minutes and then wash your face with water. You can also add bentonite clay with activated charcoal every now and then. Just leave it on your face for longer (10-15 minutes) before washing it off with water.

Milk Cleanser

The protein, fats and natural acids present in milk are very effective to clean skin. You can use it to daily clean your skin morning and night. Milk facial cleanser will not only remove impurities but will also make your skin softer and radiant with regular use. Take 1 tsp (or as needed) of cold milk in a bowl and dip a cotton wool in it. Now dab it on your skin and let it dry. Wash off with tap water. If you have oily skin, you can add a few drops of lemon in the milk. If you have extremely dry skin, add honey or olive oil into your milk cleanser. You can also add rose water or oatmeal to milk every once in a while to give your face-cleaning regimen a natural boost.
