The answer is simpler than you think. And it lies in your kitchen.

Your kitchen is a treasure house of naturally available cosmetics. Read on to learn about the best and most easily available do-it-yourself hacks for adding that natural glow to your skin.

Papaya face pack
One of the best face packs, it contains an ingredient called papain, which acts on the dead skin of the face and aids in exfoliation. It seeps through the pores and helps in bringing the underlying new skin to the front, thereby giving a natural glow. Adding sandalwood powder to the face pack helps with this exfoliation process. Here’s how to prepare it:

  • Take mashed papaya, add one teaspoon each of sandalwood powder and aloe vera gel, and add few drops of rose water to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  • Apply this pack for 20 minutes and allow it to dry.
  • Wash your face after that to get the glow you always wanted.

Banana face pack
Your skin is a victim of oxidation, and the damage that follows. It is this process that causes the accumulation of toxins, making your skin dry, scaly, patchy and lifeless. Banana being an antioxidant, will help in removing these toxins, and give an immediate result. Adding honey to the mixture will further augment the antioxidation process.

  • Take a mashed banana, and add honey and rose water to it to get a uniform mixture.
  • Apply this to your face for 15 minutes.
  • If you are not allergic to yogurt, then consider adding yogurt.
  • Wash your face with water to get the desired results.

Oatmeal face pack
One of the most unusual DIY hacks, but very effective. Oatmeal has a natural anti oxidation effect.

  • Take two tablespoons of oatmeal.
  • Add a teaspoon of sandalwood powder and rose water.
  • Apply this pack for fifteen minutes.

Tomato face pack
The easily available and easy to use tomato face pack acts by regulating the ph content of the skin, in addition to helping the exfoliation process.

  • Mash tomatoes and add sugar to it.
  • Then apply this pack through slow massaging.
  • After 15 minutes you can wash this pack.
  • Scrubbing the face also increases circulation, giving the instant glow that you are looking for.

Almond face pack
Almonds are rich in Vitamin E. It also acts as a natural bleach to remove sun tan.

  • Take a few almonds and soak them in water overnight.
  • The following day, crush them and mix them with milk to create a mixture.
  • Apply that over the face and leave it for fifteen minutes.
  • Wash your face after that.

Other commonly found face packs found in the kitchen are made from red clay, egg, cucumber, and rose petals. Every face pack should be applied for two to three times a week for optimum results. You should avoid any ingredient that you are allergic to. In addition to the face, packs use sunscreens. Avoid chemicals that might cross-react with natural components. Regular use of these face packs will ensure that you have radiant and glowing skin.
