Chocolate Zucchini Artisanal Bread

Ingredients required (for one loaf):

  • 2 cups zucchini
  • Flour mixture:
    • 2½ cups flour
    • 4 tsp cocoa
    • 2 tsp salt
    • 2 tsp baking soda
    • ½ tsp cinnamon
    • ½ tsp allspice
  • Sugar mixture:
    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • ½ cup white sugar
    • ½ cup butter
    • ½ cup oil
  • Egg mixture:
    • 3 eggs
    • ½ tsp vanilla
    • ½ cup buttermilk

How to prepare:
Take a bowl; sift the flour and sugar mixture.Then beat the egg mixture well. Add the flour mixture and sugar mixture until fully combined. In the end, add 2 cups grated zucchini and stir. Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Pour the mixture into a loaf pan and bake it for 1 hour 15 minutes. Cut into slices and serve.

  Filipino pandesal dinner rolls

Filipino pandesal dinner rolls

Ingredients required (for 10 or more rolls):

  • ¾ cup milk
  • ¾ cup water
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup butter (softened)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 5 tsp dry yeast

How to prepare:
Mix all ingredients and make a batter. Preheat oven to 400ºF. Pour 10 or more dinner roll doughs on a dry plate. Now bake for 15 minutes and serve

  Homemade cheese crackers

Homemade cheese crackers

Ingredients used:

  • ¾ cup flour
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • Approximately ½ tsp salt
  • 4 tablespoon unsalted butter

How to prepare:
Mix all ingredients together either by hand or in a food processor till the dough forms. Make a disk with the dough and after wrapping with a plastic wrap, refrigerate for an hour. Take it out from the fridge and roll it till it obtains a thickness of 1/8 inch. Cut small squares of dough and make any design on them. In a thin plate, place a parchment paper and line it with the square dough pieces. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Bake the crackers for about 10 minutes till the bottoms of these crackers turn brown. Cool it down for a while and your artisanal crackers are ready!

  Pistachio ice-cream

Pistachio ice-cream

Ingredients used (for 8 servings):

  • 2 cups half and half
  • 2 cups cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 cup pistachio nuts

How to prepare:
Mix all ingredients and cook it for 5 minutes. Blend the mixture well, pour it into a bowl, and chill it for a few minutes. In an ice cream churner, churn this mixture for 10 minutes till the ice-cream is formed. Keep it in a freezer for another 30 minutes before serving.

  Persimmon bread pudding

Persimmon bread pudding

Ingredients used:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1½ cups hachiya persimmon pulp
  • 1½ cups milk
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup raisins
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • ¾ cup French baguette

How to prepare:
Whisk persimmon, milk, sugar, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon. Add raisins, walnuts, and French baguette. Pour mixture into a baking dish and bake at 375ºF for 35-40 minutes. Before serving, pour Crème Anglaise on top.
