5 Healthy Cold Brew Recipes

Cold brew coffee is a fairly new entrant but has won the hearts of coffee-lovers worldwide.  Cold brew is not exactly same as coffee as it is a lot milder, less acidic and has a smooth velvety texture. In fact, many people prefer cold brew over plain coffee because it is less acidic. Cold brew is versatile, it can be used as a base for coffee cocktails as well as milkshakes. Here are a few cold brew coffee recipes, you can try making at home.

Cold Brew Cappuccino

Cold Brew Cappuccino

Ingredients:

  • 125ml cold brew
  • 50 ml fresh milk
  • 2-3 pieces of ice

How to Prepare:
Combine the water and coffee, preferably in a glass or ceramic container. Shake it well. Open the lid and pour the coffee into your cup or glass. Scoop the foam from the bottom of the container and place it on top of the coffee as a final touch.

Cold Brew Affogato

Cold Brew Affogato

Ingredients:

  • 3 scoops of vanilla bean ice cream ( ½ cup)
  • ¼ cup cold brew

Garnishing:

  • Mint leaves
  • Cinnamon powder
  • Shredded coconut

How to Prepare:
Take a tall glass put the ice cream in the glass and pour the cold brew over it. Now add the toppings and serve!

Cold Brew Soda

Cold Brew Soda

Ingredients:

  • 1/3  glass of cold brew
  • 2/3 glass of ginger beer or soda
  • 2 cubes of ice

How to Prepare:
Take a glass and put ice in it. Now add the cold brew concentrate and pour the ginger beer or club soda over it. Let it sit for a while before you serve.

Ca Phe Sua Dua

Ca Phe Sua Dua

Ingredients:

  • 100 ml cold brew coffee
  • 20 ml condensed milk
  • 2 cubes of ice

How to Prepare:
Ca Phe Sua Dua is a popular Vietnamese iced coffee. Mix all three ingredients in a tall glass and stir continuously until all the ingredients are mixed well. Your cold brew coffee is ready to serve!

Mocha Cold Brew

Mocha Cold Brew

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup cold brew
  • ½ cup hot water
  • ½ tablespoon of cocoa (unsweetened)
  • ¼ cup milk (dairy, nut, soy or coconut)
  • ½ tablespoon maple syrup
  • Salt
  • Ground cinnamon (a pinch)
  • Ice cubes

How to Prepare:
In a cocktail mixer, add hot water, cocoa powder, maple syrup, a pinch of cinnamon and salt. Shake it for a while and then add the milk to the mix. Shake again. In a tall drinking glass, pour the cold brew concentrate and fill it up with ice. Serve right away!
