Comfortable walking shoes

You should keep yourself hydrated before and after the marathon. If you plan on traveling by air, ensure that you carry an empty bottle and constantly refill it. When you prepare for a marathon, you should understand what foods are essential for you. Make sure you have an ample amount of nutritious food on you, as you might not find it while traveling internationally or to a remote location.

Be prepared for all weather conditions

You must take adequate rest before the day of the marathon. Sometimes, you might be anxious about the race, but a good night’s sleep is required. To ensure that you can sleep in peace, carry earplugs and an eye mask, to avoid any unwanted noise and light.

Cream or Ointment to relax your muscles

You must carry ointments or creams that help to relax your muscles and joints.
